Item Search
This page provides instructions on swiftly and effortlessly searching for articles in TRASER DMS 365. The contents on this page are divided into the following sections:

Searching for Items via the Role Center
To search for items via the role center, please proceed as follows:
- In the role center of TRASER DMS 365, scroll to the Advanced Search area.
- In the Item Search field, enter a part of an item number or a description of the item you want to search for. You can either enter full item numbers or only a part of an item number (e. g. 16). If you want to search for an item by its description, you have to add a # at the start (e. g. #Paris).
- To start the search, confirm your search by clicking Enter.
- The page Item Search is displayed.
- The page shows all items that your search applies for. To change the search result view to more detailed information, select Expanded View in the Page View field.

You can specify the page view for all users. For more information regarding this go to Setting up Basic View for Item Search.
- To open the item card for an item, select an item from the table and click on Card in the menu bar.
Searching for Items via the Document Lines
To search for items via the document lines, please proceed as follows:

Below, the item search process is described using a sales order as an example. The function can also be applied to all other documents.
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Sales Orders.
- The page Sales Orders is displayed.
- Create a new sales order or select a sales order that has already been created.
- The page Sales Order is displayed.
- Navigate to the Lines FastTab.
- In the Lines FastTab, click on Functionsย > Item Search.
- In the Search Value field, enter a part of an item number or a description of the item you want to search for. You can either enter full item numbers or only a part of an item number (e. g. 16). If you want to search for an item by its description, enter a description and then activate the Search Description Only toggle switch.
- To perform the search, confirm the search with the Enter key.
- All items that match your search will be displayed.
- Select an item and click on OK to add this item to the document line.
Setting up Basic View for Item Search
This section describes how to set up the default view for item search results for specific users. Please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page User Setup.
- The page User Setup is displayed.
- Select a user from the list.
- Open the user card by clicking on Card in the menu bar. For more information regarding user cards, click here.
- The user card is displayed.
- Navigate to the Item Search Page Default field in the General FastTab. You can choose between the following page view:ยท
Value | Description |

Basic View | Choose this value for the selected user if the search results should be displayed using the Basic View. If you use the Basic View setting, the search results will only contain basic information. |
Expanded View | Choose this value for the selected user if the search results should be displayed using the Expanded View. If you use the Expanded View setting, the search results will contain additional information. In addition to the information from Basic View, the search results will also contain information on unit, price list and an additional field (Order Date) to narrow down the search. |
