Shipment Delays
TRASER DMS 365 provides you with the possibility to store information regarding shipment delays at the service order type. The information stored at the service order type directly influences the delivery data in the corresponding documents. This function is currently available in both service and sales orders. This chapter is divided into the following sections:

Storing Shipment Delay at Service Order Type
To store shipment delay information at the service order type, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Service Order Types in TRASER DMS 365.
- The page Service Order Types is displayed.
- Navigate to the service order type that you would like to add shipment delay information to. For more information on creating service order types, click here.
- Scroll to the Shipment Delay column.
- Enter a value for the shipment delay in this column, e.g. 3D for a delay of 3 days.
- Your changes will be saved automatically.
You have added shipment delay information to a service order type.
Shipment Delay in Sales Orders
To use the shipment delay functionality in sales orders, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Sales Orders.
- The page Sales Orders is displayed.
- Click on New to create a new sales order or open an existing sales order from the list. You will find more information on creating sales orders for machine sales processes under Sales Order. For information on creating sales orders for inventory and parts processes, click here.
- The sales order card is displayed.
- Complete the information in the header.
- In the Order Type field in the document header, enter a service order type that you defined Shipment Delay information for.
The delivery delay defined on the service order type will be added to the work date and the new date will displayed in the Requested Delivery Date field in the document header.
Shipment Delay in Service Orders
To use the shipment delay functionality in service orders, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Service Orders.
- Click on New to create a new service order or open an existing service order from the list. For more information on creating service orders, please click here.
- The service order card is displayed.
- Complete the information in the header.
- In the Order Type field in the document header, enter a service order type that you defined Shipment Delay information for.
- Add service lines to the document.
The delivery delay defined on the service order type will be added to the work date and the new date will displayed in the service lines and on the Service Item Worksheet in the Items Needed By Date field.
