Customer Classification
In TRASER DMS 365, you can classify customers into groups to better coordinate your sales activities based on the classification. The contents of this chapter are divided into the following sections:
Creating a Customer Classification
This section describes how to create a customer classification.
To create a new customer classification, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Customer Classifications page.
- To create a new customer classification, select New from the menu bar.
- Use the field in the Code column to enter a code for the customer classification.
- Use the field in the Description column to enter a description for the customer classification.
You have successfully created a customer classification.
Classifying Customers
This section describes how to classify a customer. The customer classification will be shown in the following documents:

Please proceed as follows to assign a customer classification, created in the previous section, to a customer:

If you assign a customer classification to a customer or change the classification, the customer classification will be updated automatically for all contacts that are linked to this customer.
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Customers page.
- Select the customer you want to classify.
- In the General FastTab of the customer card, select the classification for the selected customer in the Customer Type field.
You have successfully classified the customer.
Setting a Customer Type
This section describes how you can set a customer type for a customer.
To set a customer type, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Customers page.
- Select the customer whose customer type you want to set.
- In the General FastTab of the customer card, select one of the following options in the Customer Type field:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Company | Select this option if the selected customer is a company. |
Farmer (generalized) | Select this option if the selected customer is a farmer (generalized). |
Private | Select this option if the selected customer is a private person. |
You have successfully set the customer type.
