Customer Classification
In TRASER DMS 365, you can classify customers into groups so that you can better coordinate your sales activities. The contents of this chapter are divided into the following sections:
Create Customer Classification
This section describes how to create a customer classification:
To create a new customer classification, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Customer Classifications.
- The page Customer Classifications is displayed.
- To create a new customer classification, select New from the menu bar.
- A new line is displayed.
- Use the field under the Code column to enter a code for the customer classification.
- Use the field under the Description column to enter a description for the customer classification.
You have successfully set up a new customer classification.
Classify Customers
This section describes how to classify a customer.
The customer classification will be shown in the following documents:

To assign a newly created customer classification to a customer, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Customers.
- The page Customers is displayed.
- In the table, select the customer you would like to classify.
- The customer card is displayed.
- In the General tab, select the classification for the selected customer in the Customer Type field.
Note
If you assign a certain customer classification to a customer or change the classification, the customer classification will be updated for all contacts that are linked to this customer.
You have successfully classified the customer.
Set Customer Type
This section describes how to set a customer type for a customer.
To set a customer type, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Customers.
- The page Customers is displayed.
- Select the customer from the table for which you would like to set a customer type,
- The customer card is displayed.
- In the General tab, choose between the following options for the Customer Type:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Company | Select this option if the selected customer is a company. |
Farmer (generalized) | Select this option if the selected customer is a farmer (generalized). |
Private | Select this option if the selected customer is a private person. |
You have successfully set the customer type.
