Warehouse Shipment and Warehouse Pick
You can use warehouse shipments in TRASER DMS 365 to drive outbound shipments. Warehouse picks are used to prepare items for shipment. This page is divided into the following sections:
- Creating and Posting Warehouse Shipment
- Creating and Registering Warehouse Pick
- Setting up Automatic Picking
Creating and Posting Warehouse Shipment
Note
You can specify whether warehouse shipments are required on the Location Card of a Location. Activate the toggle switch Require Shipment in the Logistics FastTab on the Location Card.
To create a warehouse shipment, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page Warehouse Shipments.
- Click New in the menu bar.
Tip
Alternatively, you have the option to generate warehouse shipments directly either from the sales order or from the transfer order. To do this, click on Home > Create Warehouse Shipment in the menu bar of the respective order. Please keep in mind that warehouse shipments created in this manner are initially linked one-to-one with their respective orders. However, you can add further documents as described here.
- On the warehouse shipment page, fill in the information in the General FastTab as required.
- Navigate to the Shipping FastTab to also provide information on the delivery process as required. For example, you can enter an agent’s package number in the Package Tracking No. field. After posting the warehouse shipment, this number is updated on the associated sales order and the posted sales shipment.
- To add items to warehouse shipments, click on Prepare > Get Source Documents in the menu bar.
- All source documents with the status Released and with items to be shipped will be displayed.
- Select one or more source documents.
- Click OK to confirm your selection.
- Enter the location of the items to be shipped into the Location Code field.
- You have the option to input additional details such as bin code, posting date, assigned user, assignment time, assignment date or sorting method if needed.
Tip
You can specify a Shipment Bin in the Bin FastTab on the Bin Card. This enters the bin specified here as the default value in warehouse shipments created for this location. If you have activated the Require Pick toggle switch in the Logistics FastTab on the Location Card, you must first create a Warehouse Pick.
- Click on Home > Post Shipment... in the menu bar.
You have successfully posted a warehouse shipment. The locations of the items included in a warehouse shipment can be tracked on the Item Ledger Entry page.

- A dialog window is displayed asking you whether you want to create a job queue entry for automatic picking. Confirm this dialog window with Yes.
- Another dialog window is displayed asking whether you want to open the card for the job queue entry. Confirm this dialog window with Yes.
- Check the details on the card. You can make changes if necessary.
- Close the card to return to the list of worksheets.
- Select the worksheet for which you have set up automatic picking and click on Automatic Picking parameters in the menu bar.
