Service Charges

Service charges can be used to automatically add consumables or spare parts as a resource line to a selected service order type. As soon as a service order of the selected service order type receives the status Completed, the set up service charges are automatically added as a resource line.

Setting Up Service Charges

To set up service charges, please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Charge Setup page.
  • Click New in the menu bar.
  • Select the service order type for which the service charge should be used in the Order Type field.
  • In the Resource No. field, enter the resource number for the service charge.

Note

You can also use a resource number several times for different service charges.

  • In the Calculation Base field, select whether the calculation base for the service flat rate is Labor, Parts & Labor or Parts.
  • Select, if the service charge is a percentage or an amount in the Surcharge Type field.
  • Enter the amount or percentage of the service charge in the Surcharge Value field.
  • Enter the lowest amount for the service charge in the Min. Surcharge Amount field.
  • Enter the highest amount for the service charge in the Max. Surcharge Amount field.
  • Optionally, select the responsibility center of the service charge in the Responsibility Center field.
  • Your changes will be saved automatically.

You have successfully set up a service charge.

Add Service Charges to Worksheets

To add a service charge to a worksheet, proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Worksheets page.
  • Select the desired worksheet.
  • Select Actions > Add Service Charge from the menu bar. If you cannot find Actions, click on More Options in the menu bar.
  • The corresponding service charges are added to the worksheet.
