Warranty Setup

Before the warranty functionality can be used, the following setup steps must be performed:

Basic Warranty setup

First, the basic setup must be performed. Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to open the Warranty Setup page.
  • In the General FastTab:
    • In the Warranty Claim Nos. dropdown list, select the number series to be applied to new warranty claims. If needed, create and define a new number series by clicking on New in the dropdown list.
    • In the Deductible Service Order Type dropdown list, select or create the service order type to be automatically applied to deductible warranty claims.
    • In the Deductible Amount Resource No. dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for deductible warranty claim lines.
    • In the Resource for Parts dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for parts warranty claim lines.
    • In the Resource for Labour dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for labor warranty claim lines.
    • In the Resource for Misc. dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for miscellaneous costs warranty claim lines.
    • In the Resource for Parts incl. VAT dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for parts warranty claim lines using VAT posting groups.
    • In the Resource for Labour incl. VAT dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for labor warranty claim lines using VAT posting groups.
    • In the Resource for Misc. incl. VAT dropdown list, select or create the number of the resource to be automatically applied for miscellaneous costs warranty claim lines using VAT posting groups.

The basic warranty setup is finished.
