Standard Service Codes

Standard Service Codes allow you to create standardized tasks (like for example an inspection for a certain machine) including labor and costs of the item beforehand. These standard service codes can then be added to a service order instead of adding the single components. This saves time searching for the single components.

Standard Service Codes Setup

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Standard Service Codes.
  • The Standard Service Codes page is displayed.
  • Click on New in the menu bar to create a new standard service code.
  • This opens the Standard Service Code Card.
  • Complete the following fields according to the table below.
Tab Field Description

Attributes Under this register, you can enter attributes regarding information for Manufacturer, Category, Subcategory, Series and Model. This standard service code can then only be selected for service items with the respective attributes. Not all attribute fields necessarily have to be filled out. It is also possible to set up the standard service code only for service items of a certain manufacturer and a certain category.

You can specify if there should be fixed prices for Labor, Parts, Resources or Costs. Under Amount, you can enter a total amount for the complete standard service.
Labor Enter a fixed price for labor. This field sums up all resource lines which have an activated check box in the Labor column and uses this fixed price instead.
Parts Enter a fixed price for spare parts.
Resources Enter a fixed price for all resources, irrespective of the check box in the Labor column being activated or not.
Costs Enter a fixed price for costs.
Amount Here you can enter a total amount for the complete standard service.
Lines In this register you define in seperate lines, which Items, Resources, Costs or G/L Accounts are contained in this standard service code. These lines are then transferred into the service order or quote once the standard service code is selected.
  • In the notification area (press ALT+F2 to show), you can deposit Fault Comments, Resolution Comments and Internal Comments.
  • To add a new comment, click on the arrow next to the heading of the register and then on Edit.
  • This opens the editor in which you can enter the respective comments together with a date.
  • Once you are finished, select Close.

You have successfully set up a standard service code.
