Shopping Baskets

This chapter describes how to create and manage shopping baskets. You can define a Shopping Basket or a Shopping Basket Template in TRASER DMS 365. Said template allows you to smoothly import items in Purchase, Sales or Service Documents, as well as exporting items from Warranty and Purchase Documents as TXT- or CSV-files. This chapter is divided into the following sections:

Setting up Shopping Baskets

To set up shopping baskets and to change the settings regarding importing and exporting shopping baskets, please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Shopping Basket Setup page.
  • Click New in the menu bar.
  • Enter a unique code for your shopping basket template in the Code field.
  • Enter a description for your shopping basket template in the Description field.
  • Select a separator for the fields of the shopping basketin the Separator field.
  • Optionally, fill out the Vendor No. and Manufacturer Code fields.
  • Under Area of Usage, active the toggle switches for the areas where you want to use the shopping basket.
  • Under Import, enter how many lines of the import file are to be skipped in the Lines to Skip field.
  • Under Import, enter which characters of the import file are to be ignored or deleted in the Delete Characters field.
  • Under Export, select if a shopping basket is to be exported as a TXT or a .CSV file in the Export as field.
  • Under Export, you can also select if a shopping basket should include Text and/or the Header when exported and whether amounts should include Decimal Places.
  • Navigate to the FastTabs below.

Note

Depending on the selected Areas of Usage, the following FastTabs are available: Importing in Sales, Importing/Exporting in Purchase,Importing in Service and/or Importing/Exporting in Warranty.

  • In the Field No. field specify which fields in documents should be included in shopping basket exports or populated with information during imports.
  • You can also specify whether the field number should be considered during Import and/or Export and whether the value of the field needs to be validated.
  • You can now activate the Active field in the General FastTab.
  • Your changes are saved automatically.

You have successfully set up a shopping basket and changed the import and export settings.

Exporting Shopping Baskets

You can export shopping baskets from Warranty and Purchase Documents as .TXT or .CSV files depending on your setup. To do so, please proceed as follows:

  • Open the Warranty or Purchase Document you wish to export a shopping basket from.
  • Click on Prepare > Export Shopping Basket in the menu bar.
  • Select the applicable shopping basket setup and confirm your selection with OK.
  • Depending on the setup, a .TXT or a .CSV File is downloaded.
  • This file contains the fields defined in the Lines FastTab of the Shopping Basket Setup.

You have successfully exported a shopping basket.

Importing Shopping Baskets

You can import shopping baskets from Purchase, Sales and Service Documents as .TXT or .CSV files depending on your setup. To do so, please proceed as follows:

  • Open the Purchase, Sales or Service Document to which you want to import a shopping basket.
  • Click on Prepare > Import Shopping Basket in the menu bar.
  • Select the applicable shopping basket setup and confirm your selection with OK.
  • Drag a .CSV or a .TXT File into the field or click to browse.
  • The field defined in the Lines FastTab of the Shopping Basket Setup will now be filled with the information provided by the selected file.

You have successfully imported a shopping basket.
