Additional Items
In TRASER DMS 365, you can assign additional items to an item. Depending on the configuration, these associated items will either be added to documents automatically or can be optionally selected when creating document lines. Proceed as follows to assign additional items to an item:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Items page.
- Open the item to which you want to add additional items.
- In the menu bar, click on Related > Item > Additional Items.
- Fill in the columns according to the descriptions in the table below:
Column | Description |

Item No. | Enter the item number of the item you want to assign as an additional item. |
Description | This field is automatically populated with the description of the selected item. |
Variant Code | Optionally select a variant code if the item is available in multiple variants and you want to assign only a specific variant as an additional item. |
Optional | Select this checkbox if the additional item should be marked as optional. Optional items are not automatically added to document lines and must be selected when creating document lines. |
Quantity | Enter a quantity for the additional item. The additional item will always be added to the document lines with this quantity when the linked item is selected. |
Unit of Measure | Select the unit for the additional item. |
Qty. Multiplier | Select this checkbox if the entered quantity should be treated as a multiplier. In this case, the quantity defined for the additional item will be multiplied by the quantity of the source item used in the source document line. |
Area | Select from the dropdown menu which areas the additional item should apply to. Choosing None means the item will not be added to any document. Selecting All adds the item to every document, regardless of the area. Choosing Selected displays a new Select Areas action in the menu bar. Use this action to specify in which documents the item should be applied. Activate the desired areas on the page by selecting the applicable checkboxes in the Active column. Currently, the available areas are Purchase, Sales, Service and Transfer. |
- Your changes are saved automatically.
- Repeat the steps above to assign further additional items to the item.
You have successfully assigned additional items to an item. When this item is selected in the document lines, the associated additional items will either be added automatically or can be selected manually, depending on the chosen setup.
Tip
On the Inventory Setup page, you can select how you want to be notified about optional additional items in documents. Under Show Optional Additional Items As, choose whether the notification should be displayed as a Smart Notification or as a Popup Page.
