Bug Fixes

This release includes several bug fixes as well as the following new functions and improvements.

New Functions

[22416] Export Rent Class Utilization Reports to Excel

Users can now report rent class utilization reports to Excel.

[24817] Optimization of the Sales Process

Users can now decommission returned rent objects directly from a sales document via the new Decommission Rent Object action. This speeds up the decommissioning process.
If sales document exists for a rent contract, the system will check it when the Create sales order (after return) action is used. The user can decide if a new sales document should be created when decommissioning the returned rent object.

[24842] Changing Base Calendar in Rent Lines through Additional Contracts

If a customer uses a different base calendar, the base calender for all rental line can now be changed using an additional contract.

[25412] Partial Credit Memo for Invoicing in Advance and Monthly Price

A partial credit memo can now be created, if the invoice frequency In Advance is used for monthly rent periods. That way, if a customer returns the rent objects earlier, no new invoice is posted. Instead, a credit memo with the difference amount between the invoiced period and the rent end date is posted.

[26114] Scrapping By Selling To Customer

If a customer has to pay for broken rent objects, their quantity can be entered during return in the new Broken Quantity to Sell field. Additionally, a text can be entered in the TRASER Rent Setup that is transferred to the sales order, clarifying why the customer has to pay for the rent objects and that no delivery will take place.

[26115] Contract Remains open until Objects that have to be Scrapped are Scrapped

The new option Contract Sales Check has been added to the TRASER Rent Setup. It determines whether rent contracts remain open, even if the final rent invoice is posted, as long as open return quantities for sales objects, broken objects, and/or objects to be scrapped exist. The system will display a message that open quantities exist which have to be decommissioned for sales in order to close the rent contract.

[26119] Closing Damages for Rent Objects

Damages to rental objects that are resources or items can now be closed in the object lines after the corresponding service has been completed. This must be done manually.

[26120] Linking Damages to Service Order

Damages can now be linked to / unlinked from service orders. The damage is closed once the service order is invoiced.

[26165] Source Type 'Rental' in Cash Flow Ledger Entries

With this release, the standard Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Cashflow Module will be amended with the rental area of TRASER Rental 365. Users now have various setup possibilities, entry types, etc. to include rent contracts and invoices into the module. This optimizes cash flow and financial liquidity planning, including upcoming costs and revenues of rent contracts in the system.
Furthermore, cash flow ledger entries can now be created for source type Rental. This is a prerequisite so that rent payment flows can be included in the cash flow forecast.

[26594] Excel Import via Fast-Track Assistant

Users can now import rent objects from Excel files in bulk via the Fast-Track Assistant, significantly reducing setup time.

[26907] Show Rent Start Date, Estimated Rent End Date, and Delivery Date only once, if all Lines have the same Dates in Rent Quotes/Contracts

The report for rent quotes and contracts is now printed much more streamlined, if the dates for the rent start, estimated rent end, and delivery date are the same for all lines. These dates are then no longer printed for each rent class line, but only once above the lines.

[27160] Adding Linked Rent Classes when Using the Item Fast-Track Assistant

New messages have been included, if an item with linked rent classes is entered in Item Fast-Track Assistant. When an item is entered in the assistant, a notification will be displayed that a rent class was added automatically, if the linked rent class is mandatory. If the linked rent class is recommended or optional, the system will ask if the user wants to enter the object of the linked rent class.

[27687] Discounts based on contract length

A discount based on the length of the rent period can be entered in a rent line. The contract line must have the required minimum duration for this discount to be applied.

[27845] Create Rent Class from Purchase Order

Rent classes can now be created directly from purchase orders. You can either create a specific rent class for one specific (service) item or a general rent class which can be used for several (service) items.

[27883] Add 'External Document No.' to Rent Contracts

The External Document No. can now be added to rent contracts and is transferred to rent orders. This external document number is intended for sending XInvoices.

[28160] Change Customer Name in Rent Contracts

The Customer Name can now be changed in rent contracts. The changed customer information will be transferred automatically to the related rent order.

[28189] Changing Shipping Agent Code in the Location/Date Wizard

In the Location/Date Wizard, the Shipping Agent Code can now be updated for all selected lines at once. If different codes are stored in the lines to be returned, the shipping agent code must be entered in the Set Location and Date query. Once confirmed, it will be updated in every line.

[28190] Link Opportunities to Rent Quotes/Contracts

Users can now link opportunities to rent quotes and contracts.

[28429] Placeholder Added to Subject Field in Email Templates

Users can now use placeholders, e.g., for document numbers in the Subject field on the Rent Email Templates page.

[28715] Partial Delivery and Return of Service Lines in Rent Contract

Rent classes with the object type Service can now be partially delivered and returned.

[28815] Overview of Created Sales Quotes

An overview of sales quotes created from a rent contract can now be opened via the rent contract.

[28888] Open Rent Contract from Customer Ledger Entry

Rent contracts can now be opened from the corresponding customer ledger entry.

[28889] Open Configuration Rent Classes from Configuration Setup FactBox

The individual rent classes of a rent class package can now be opened via the Configuration Setup FactBox.

[28970] Multi-Select in Sales and Scrap Wizard

Multi-select function is now available in the Sales and Scrap Wizard.

[29035] Creating a Discount for All Lines

Discounts for all lines can now be entered easily with the new Set Discount function. The user can choose whether the discount should be applied to all lines or only selected price types.

[29364] Visibility of all Interruption Lines in Rent Contract

The new function Show all Interruption Lines displays all interruption lines of a rent contract regardless of the object line.

[29385] Rent Availibility in Rent Process

A new field Reservation Availability is available in the Rent Objects and Resources Wizard and in the Fast-Track Assistant. This field allows users to see all reservations for this rent object for all rent locations, so they can see whether the selected quantity can be delivered or whether a reservation needs to be canceled.

[29470] New Filters for Rent Price Surcharge

New filters for Price Type and Price Code have been added to the Price Surcharge page. This makes it easier to specify to which rent class(es) the surcharge should be added.

[29719] General Terms and Conditions (GTC) in all Rent Documents

With the global setup of the terms and conditions in the TRASER Rent Setup, it is now possible to create a terms and conditions code that applies to all rent documents. However, terms and conditions can and will still be stored for each rent class as well as printed after the global terms and conditions.

[29779] Open Rent Contracts from Sub-Rent Contract Archive

Linked rent contracts can now be opened from archived sub-rent requests/contracts via the Open Rent Contract action.

[30039] Print 'External Document No.' on Rent Contracts

The external document number can now be displayed on rent contract printouts.

A customizable document text has been added to damage reports to clarify claims and responsibilities.

[26113] Visibility of Open Scrapping and Sales Rental Ledger Entries

New fields have been added to the contract header that show open quantities to decommission for sales/scrapping, making it easier to see that action is required.

[26116/30037] (Broken) Quantity to Sell/Scrap Added to Rental Return Reports

The quantity to sell, quantity to scrap, and broken quantity to sell is now printed in rental return reports.

[26118] Damage Registered on Delivery and Return Displayed on Rent Contract Card

Rent contracts now show if rent objects have damages recorded on delivery and/or return, improving the transparency for claims.

[26548] 'Post & Print' Action available on Delivery/Return Cards

Analogous to other business areas, the Post & Print action is now also available on delivery/return cards.

[27157] Item Fast-Track Assistant Saves Current Status

The Item Fast-Track Assistant now saves the current status. If a user enters items in the assistant and then needs to close it to, e.g., open a customer card, they can now continue where they left off when returning to the assistant. However, users must ensure that they continue to process the correct document, as the current status is not saved on a document-specific basis.

[27949] Automatic Commission of Delivered Quantity

The quantity delivered in purchase orders is now automatically commissioned for rent if the rent class and rent location were entered in the purchase line. When the delivery is posted, the delivered quantity is automatically posted from the location in the purchase line to the rent location.

[27951] Currently Delivered Quantity Displayed in Object Lines

The remaining quantity to return is now shown per object line. When clicking on this quantity, the contract history opens and displays an overview of all deliveries and returns for this Object No..

[27955] Automatic Decommission of Quantity for Rent if Delivery Is Canceled

If the incoming delivery from the purchase order is canceled, commissioning the quantity for rent is also automatically canceled.

[28118] New Event for GPP Extension

A new integration event has been added for the Group Policy Preferences (GPP) extension to enable safer customizations.

[28197] Approval Workflow Rent Extension

The Microsoft Dynamics Business Central approval workflow functionality has been extended to include rent quotes, contracts, and additional contracts.

[28790] Improved Rent Contract Card Performance

The performance of calculations on rent contract cards has been improved.

[28816] Improved Error Message if a Rent Contract still has open Sales Quotes/Orders

The error message that is displayed when trying to close a rent contract with open sales quotes or orders has been changed to notify that open sales quotes/orders exist for this contract.

[28850] Improved Error Message if Rent Object is not at Rent Location

The error message that is displayed when a selected rent object is not available at the rent location has been changed to show the current location of the rent object.

[28890] Rename of 'Resp. Center Prot. Ints.' Page

The Resp. Center Prot. Ints. page was renamed into External Processing Interface Setup for Delivery/Return.

[28891] Contracts Cannot Be Archived if Open Customer Ledger Entries Exist

Rent contracts can now only be archived if all customer ledger entries are closed. If a rent contract is archived, it is not possible to makes any changes, e.g., to the invoice address or applied discounts.

[28912] Vendor Item Number in Sales and Scrap Wizard

The Vendor Item No. is now shown in the Sales and Scrap Wizard. This makes it easier to identify items based on the vendor item number.

[28918] Using a higher quantity for the contract after contract start date

If the quantity in the first delivery is higher than the quantity in the rent contract, it was not possible to post the delivery. This is now possible, as the system automatically creates an additional contract to increase the quantity.

[29000] Delivery Location Overview in Return Protocol

When selecting the Return Address Code in the return plan, a list of delivery addresses from the rent contract is displayed. This makes it easier for users to select the location from which they would like to make the return.

[29025] Caption 'Price Period Based" changed into 'Invoice Period Based'

The price type Price Period Based has been renamed to Invoice Period Based.

[29093] Enum Field for Rent Documents

New fields have been added to identify a sales header as a TRASER DMS 365 or TRASER Rental 365 sale document to be used by the Power BI dashboards.

[29138] Empty Variable Revenue Line Prevents Closing the Contract Variable Revenue List

A new notification is displayed if a variable revenue line in the Contract Variable Revenue List has no amount and price description. The user then needs to interact with the notification and/or fill in the variable revenue line to be able to close the page. This prevents the accidental creation of empty revenue lines.

[29534] Monthly Price in February

Monthly rent prices are now correctly calculated for rent periods during February.

[29718] Distinguished 'Damages' from 'Previous Damages' in Rent Returns

Damages discovered upon delivery have been renamed to Previous Damages and discovered upon return have been renamed to Damages in rent return document printouts.

[29726] Transfer of Rent Class Information in Sales Order for Component

When a component is sold to a customer via a sales order from a rent contract, a text line is added which specifies the rent class or service item the component is for.

[29760] Transfer of Replacement Price

If a replacement price is entered in a rent class, (service) item, or resource, this price will now be transferred into the rent lines in rent documents.

[29817] Improved Calculation of Total Amount Contract Line When Changing Invoice Frequency

When the invoice frequency of a rent contract is changed, the Total Value fields are now only updated if the contract has not been signed yet.
