Setup business posting groups
To use the automated tax calculation of TRASER Sales 365 Tax, so-called business posting groups have to be defined. Business posting groups specify the tax relationships to countries.
The setup of the business posting groups can be done either by synchronization with a connected ERP system, by importing a business posting group table (e.g. from an ERP system), or manually. In this documentation, we show you the manual setup of the business posting groups.
In the Sales Hub app (1), navigate to the App-Settings section (2) and in the sitemap to VAT Business Posting Groups (3). Click the New button (4) to create a new business posting group.
Fill in the following two fields to create a business posting group.

| Description | Enter a description of this business posting group in this column. |
Setup countries
For business posting groups to be automatically assigned to companies, a country table must be used. This table is integrated into TRASER Sales 365 Tax. The field Address 1: Country from Dynamics 365 Sales is not sufficient for the use of TRASER Sales 365 Tax.
The countries can be set up either by synchronization with a connected ERP system, by importing a country table (e.g. from an ERP system), or manually. In this documentation, we show you the manual setup of the countries.
In the Sales Hub app (1), navigate to the App-Settings section (2) and Countries (3) in the sitemap. Click the New button (4) to create a new country.
Here you now enter the countries in which your customers are located. Here the column "Code" should correspond with the country code of your ERP software.

| ISO Code | Enter the ISO code of the country in this column. |
| Standard MwSt. Geschäftsbuchungsgruppe | Select the default VAT Business Posting Group for this country. In this way, VAT will be automatically calculated for all companies located in this country. (Condition: a product posting group is defined for the added product). |
Assign business posting groups to countries
If you already use a country table in Dynamics 365 Sales, you have to store the corresponding business posting group in the countries.
To do this, open an existing country and, in the Default VAT Posting Group search field, select the appropriate business transaction group. Then click Save & Close.
Using this setting, the business posting group is directly assigned to the companies whose main location is in the country.
Manually assign business accounting groups to companies
Business posting groups can also be manually entered or adjusted for companies. To do this, open the form of a company and navigate to the Details tab (1). In the FACTURATION section, you can select the business entry group in the search field. VAT Business entry group (2), select the business entry group.
