Bug Fixes

This release includes several bug fixes as well as the following new functions and improvements.

New Functions

[Feature 11250] Early Return Invoicing

(User Stories 2525, 22664, 23326, 23345, 24111, 24209, 24220, 24621)

  • Contract termination options can now be defined. These options specify what happens if a contract is cancelled or if a contract is returned before a defined date. The termination option Early Return can be set for either a contract, a package or an individual rent class.
  • The new revenue type Break Option was added. This can only be used in contract based revenues.
  • The Termination Type needs to be defined and can either be Cancellation or Contract Break.
  • The Invoice Type needs to be defined and can either be Fixed Amount or Remaining Amount.
  • When a contract is cancelled and a contract break option exists, the new status To Be Cancelled is set. After the End-of-Contract Line was approved and invoiced, the status of the contract is changed to Cancelled.
  • Default Contract Break Options can be set up.
  • It is visible in the End of Contract Lines which early return invoice belongs to which contract line. For this purpose, a new Invoice Plan Factbox with the additional end of contract information was also added.
  • There is an option on which point the early return fee should be invoiced. The first option is On Return Date. By using this option, the early return will be in the invoice plan after posting the return protocol. The second option is On Rent End Date. By using this option, the early return will be in the invoice plan after registering the rend end date.
  • The early return can be setup per percentage. If the percentage invoicing is used, the system will invoice a percentage amount from the period amount of the line. If the percentage invoicing is used for cancellation, the system invoices a percentage amount of the total value excl. VAT of the contract.

[21889] Checklists in Other Process Steps

Checklists can be entered in the status flow without a protocol.
It is possible to enter a new status in the status flow for a rent class. If a checklist for this status is needed, it can be entered.
The checklist for the status without a protocol can be finished in the object lines in a rental contract.
If a user tries to change the status without finishing the checklist, an error message appears. So the user has to finish the checklist before changing the status again.

[22421] Rental Project

It is now possible to mark a project (job) as a rental project and adding rental-relevant information like the rent period in the project to track and process the rental project. For this, the Rental boolean was added to the Project Card. If the boolean is activated, the Rental Project FastTab is displayed on the project card.

[22422] Rental Project Tasks

It is now possible to specify job task subtypes for rental to structure a rental project. The possible options are Rent Object and Rental Contract, so that the objects that are to be rented out as result of the project and the rental document with which these are rented out can be tracked. If the Rental boolean on the Projects page is activated, several rental-related columns are displayed in the Tasks FastTab. If a task line with a rental subtype is selected, the Rental action group is displayed in the menu line.

[22423] Rental Contract for Job

A rental contract is now linked to the Job No. and Job Task No. of a project.
When a rental quote is updated to a rental contract, the information in the job task is updated as well.
The rental invoices are linked to the rental project and task.

[22424] Factbox 'Rent Document' on projects page

The factbox Rent Document was added to the projects page. It displays the expected revenues and the actual revenues.

[23784] Mandatory linked rent classes will be inserted when using fast track functionality

Mandatory linked rent classes are now inserted when using the fast track functionality.

[24415] 'Your Reference' value is printed on invoices if there are combined invoices

If the Your Reference value is filled, it is printed on invoices if there are combined invoices.

[24870] Inventory Correction Functionality

Two new reports were added:

  • Rental Ledger Entry Correction
  • Rental Warehouse Entry Correction

Improvements

[21910] Improvement in Rental Sales Process

It is only possible at the moment to see that a sales order exists or that the sales order was invoiced. Now it is possible to see in the contract if the objects to be sold are shipped or invoiced. For this, the Sales Status and Qty. Sold (Base) fields were added to the contract lines.

[24395] Improvement: Re-accessing text lines in contract lines

It is now possible to re-access the already created text lines in a rental contract. Currently it is only possible to delete all lines and re-write these lines. This is very unpleasant, in case of formatting issues that are only visible once the lines are created in the rental contract.
This only works if the Rent Price No. is empty or the text line was created manually.
