Machine calculation
You can use machine costings if you want to take additional costs (e.g. repairs or transportation costs) or revenue (e.g. sale of add-on parts) into account when selling your machines.
Proceed as follows:
- Click on Machines in the menu bar.
- Select the All machines option from the menu.
- The All machines list is displayed.
- Select the machine for which you want to calculate the price.
- The machine card is opened.
- Click on Process > Machine calculation in the menu bar list.
- The machine calculation wizard is displayed.
- Click in the Type column and use the drop-down menu to select the type of costing item. To give you a better overview, costs are shown in red and revenues in green.
- In the column Machine Calc Input Code you can specify exactly what costs or revenues are involved. A description is included with the machine lime. Input code is stored and is filled in automatically.
Note
If no suitable machine lime. If a code for the machine calculation exists, you must create it. You can find instructions on how to do this in the subsection Set up machine calculation input code
- In addition to the description, you can enter further information on each costing item in the Supplementary note column.
- The items are added up as totals in the fields at the bottom of the wizard. In addition, the result of the total items from Total revenue and Total costs is shown on the right in the Total field.
- Click Close to close the wizard.
- The calc.field Machine value on the machine card is updated.
You have successfully created a machine calculation.
Set up machine calculation entry code
Note
For this description, we assume that you have already visited the Machine Limepage. List have opened.
Proceed as follows to set up a costing item code:
- On the Machine costing list page, click in the Machine costing column. Enter code in a free field.
- A table with all available input codes is displayed.
- Click on New to create a new input code.
- The table MPO machines lime Setup is opened.
- Enter a code for the new input code in the Code column.
- Select the type for the new input code in the Type column.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Costs | This type is used to take negative value movements into account in the calculation (e.g. repair or maintenance costs). |
Proceeds | This type is used to take into account positive value movements in the calculation (for example, the sale of add-on parts or profits from rental transactions). |
- Enter information about the input code in the Description column.
- Click on OK.
You have set up an additional machine calculation input code. This can now be used for machine calculations.
