Setting More Sub-Rent Contract Parameters
Once a sub-rent contract has been created and released, you can set further useful parameters in the sub-rent contract. This chapter describes how to add attributes or define rent class based lines, among other things. Creating contract-based text lines is also covered in this chapter. This chapter is divided into the following sections:
- Adding and Changing Attributes
- Defining Rent Class based Sub-Rent Text Lines
- Adding Text Lines for Contracts
- Adding Sub-Rent Comments
Adding and Changing Attributes
You can add attribute values to the rent classes of your sub-rent request or sub-rent contract, which can then be used when searching for matching items. To do so, please proceed as follows:
Note
Before you are able to enter specific attribute values in a sub-rent request or contract, the attributes must be added to the used rent class. For more information about this, click Assigning Attributes.
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Sub-Rent Requests or Sub-Rent Contracts page.
- A list containing all requests/contracts is displayed.
- Either click on New to create a new sub-rent contract/request or open an existing open contract/request.
- Add a new rent class for which you have previously assigned attributes.
- Select the rent class in the contract lines.
- Navigate to the Object Attributes FastTab.
- The previously added attributes of this rent class are displayed.
- Fill in the Attribute Value field.
- Your selection is saved automatically.
Defining Rent Class based Sub-Rent Text Lines
You can define sub-rent lines on a rent class card. These lines will be transferred to the sub-rent contract/request and allow you to add note texts or invoice lines to the request or contract. - Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Rent Classes page.

Adding Text Lines for Contracts
You can also add text lines to a sub-rent request or contract that will apply to the entire contract and not just to a specific line in the contract. - Navigate to the Lines FastTab.

- Click Manage > Add Text Lines in the menu bar.
- The Contract Texts Wizard opens.
- Use the Contract Text field to enter a specific text, e.g., note texts or delivery information. You can add as many text lines as you want.
- Click OK, to add the text line. Contract Text Lines will be printed on all documents.
Adding Sub-Rent Comments
Comments can be added to a sub-rent contract in order to share certain information or to make notes. To do so, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Sub-Rent Contracts page.
- A list containing all sub-rent contracts is displayed.
- Either click on New to create a new sub-rent contract or open an existing open sub-rent contract to which you want to add comments.
- Select Contract > Comments from the menu bar.
- A list containing all comments is displayed.
- The workdate is automatically inserted in the Date column. The date can be adjusted, if needed.
- Enter your notes or annotations in the Comment column. Formatting or lists are not possible.
- Close the Comments page.
The comments deposited in the sub-rent contract are now also displayed in the Comments area in the info area (ALT+F2).
Comments from sub-rent requests are automatically transferred into the sub-rent contract during conversion.
