Service Packages
You can add service packages to rent classes or rent packages. These can include, for example, services that can be purchased in addition to renting a rent class (e.g. repair of glass or engine damages). When service packages are used, service employees can immediately see via a factbox in the service order which services have already been paid for by the customer as part of a service package and which need to be invoiced.
This chapter is divided into the following sections:
Setting up Service Packages
In order to use service packages in rent classes, you first must set up the following:
- create a rent revenue item for services
- create the possible services for the service packages
- create the service packages
These steps will be described in the following sections.
Creating a Rent Revenue Item for Services
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Rent Revenue Items page.
- Create a revenue item for the Service revenue type. For more information on creating revenue items, click here.
If there already is a rent revenue item for the Service revenue type, skip this step and continue here with the following section.
Creating Services for Service Packages
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Rent Services page.
- Use the Code column to enter a code for the service. This is used for the later selection of the service.
- Use the Description column to enter a description for the service.
Your changes are saved automatically.
Creating Service Packages
Once you have created services, you can add those to a service package. To create service packages, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Rent Service Packages page.
- Use the Code column to enter a code for the service package. This is used for the later selection of the service package.
- Use the Description column to enter a description for the service package.
- In the Service Code column under the Rent Service Package Sub FastTab, select the desired services which were created under Creating Services for Service Packages . The Service Description column will be filled in automatically with the description of the service.
- Subsequently, select the checkbox in the Active column to be able to use the service package in rent classes.
- Optional In order to not being able to use the service package in rent classes although it is already active, select the checkbox in the Marked as Unselectable column.
Adding Service Packages to a Rent Class
Once you have successfully set everything up, you can add the created service packages to rent classes. More information on this can be found here.
