Machine Calculation

You can use machine calculations if you want to take additional costs (e. g. repairs or transportation costs) or revenues (e. g. sale of built-in parts) into account when selling your machines. To do so, please proceed as follows:

  • Click on Machines in the menu bar.
  • From the menu bar, select All Machines.
  • Select the machine for which you want to calculate the price.
  • The Machine card is displayed.
  • Click Process > Machine Calc. List.
  • The Wizard for creating a machine calculation is displayed.
  • Click in the Type column and select the calculation entry type from the drop-down list. To give you a better overview, costs are shown in red and revenues in green.
  • The Machine Calc. Entry Code column allows you to specify the type of cost or revenue. A description is also stored at the code and is filled in automatically.

Note

If there is no suitable machine calculation entry code for the machine calculation, you must create one. You can find instructions on how to do this in the Setting up Machine Calculation Entry Codes subsection.

  • In addition to the description, you can enter further information on calculation entry in the Additional Notice column.
  • The entries are added up as totals in the fields at the bottom of the wizard. Additionally, the Total field on the right displays the combined result of Sum Earnings and Sum Costs.
  • To exit the wizard, click Close.
  • The Calc. Machine Value field on the machine card is updated.

You have successfully created a machine calculation.
