Machine Sales
This chapter contains all relevant information regarding machine sales. This chapter is divided into the following sections:
Selling Machines
Note
This instruction does not cover how to advertise the machine. For more information regarding the advertisement of machines in marketplaces, go to Advertisements.
Please proceed as follows to sell a machine:
- Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
- From the menu bar, select All Machines.
- A list containing all machines is displayed.
- Select the machine you want to sell.
- The Machine card is displayed.
- Click on Sell > Sell in the action bar.
- The Wizard for selling machines is displayed.
- Enter the following information in the wizard:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Exp. Sales Price Excl. VAT | This field is filled in by the system and shows the expected net sales price. |
| Sales Price Excl. VAT | Enter the net sales price. |
| Final Unit Cost | Enter the final unit cost of the machine. |
| Sales Date | This field shows the current date. It is possible to pre-date or post-date the sale. |
| Salespeople | This field shows the salesperson code. It is possible to change the Salesperson. |
| Sell to Contact | Select the person buying the machine from your Contacts. |
| Name | Enter the name of the buyer. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Name 2 | Enter the additional name of the buyer. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Address | Enter the buyer’s address. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Address 2 | Enter the buyer’s second address. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Country | Enter the country where the buyer is located. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Post Code | This field is mandatory. Enter the buyer’s post code. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| City | Enter the city where the buyer is located. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Telephone | Enter the buyer’s telephone number. If you have already selected the contact number of the machine buyer in the Sell to Contact field, the system will automatically transfer this information from the contact card. |
| Sales Channel | From the drop-down list, select the marketplace where the customer discovered the machine. This information is important in order to be able to analyse the profitability of the individual marketplaces. |
| Sales Channel Name | This field shows the name of the sales channel. |
- To mark the machine as sold, click on the End action.
You have successfully sold a machine. The status of the machine is changed to Sold on the machine card and in the overview of All machines.
Cancelling Machine Sales
Please proceed as follows to cancel a machine sale:
- Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
- From the menu bar, select All Machines.
- The All Machines list is displayed.
- Select the machine for which you want to cancel the sale.
- The Machine Card is displayed.
- Click on Sell > Cancel Machine Sold in the action bar.
- A dialog window is displayed asking whether you would like to cancel the sale.
- To confirm the dialog window, click Yes.
The sale of the machine is cancelled and the status is changed to Offline.
