CategoryCheckPro

With CategoryCheckPro, you can adjust and edit your equipment lists per subcategory. This helps you optimize and streamline your machine management. This chapter contains all relevant information regarding CategoryCheckPro and is divided into the following sections:

Adding Attributes to Equipment Lists

Note

Newly added attributes can only be used when creating new machines. They cannot be added to previously created machines.

Proceed as follows to add a new attribute to an equipment list:

  • Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
  • From the menu bar, select All Machines.
  • Select Process and then CategoryCheckPro from the menu bar to open the editing system.
  • In the General FastTab, first select the Category and Subcategory of the machine type for which you want to edit the equipment list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection.
  • The matching equipment list is displayed.
  • Add the new attribute to the equipment list. To do this, click in an empty line and enter a name for the attribute in the Name column.
  • When you confirm your entry, an attribute number is automatically assigned to the newly added attribute. It is displayed in the No. column.
  • Fill in the following columns as required:
Column Description
Label Enter the label that should be displayed for this attribute in the attribute list.
English Name Enter the label that should be displayed for this attribute in the attribute list when switching the environment to English.
Spanish Name Enter the label that should be displayed for this attribute in the attribute list when switching the environment to Spanish.
French Name Enter the label that should be displayed for this attribute in the attribute list when switching the environment to French.
Data Type Enter the date type for the attribute. This selection determines how the data can later be entered in the equipment list. The following table explains the available data types:
Unit of Measure Enter the unit of measurement for the new attribute.
Hide Skip this column.
Created by User Newly added attributes are automatically labelled as user-created. The tick in this field cannot be removed or set manually.

You have successfully added a new attribute.

Removing Attributes from Equipment Lists

Note

Changed attributes can only be used when creating new machines. They cannot be added to previously created machines.

Proceed as follows to hide or delete attributes from equipment lists:

Only the attributes added by the user can be deleted. Default attributes must be hidden instead.

  • Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
  • From the menu bar, select All Machines.
  • Select Process and then CategoryCheckPro from the menu bar to open the editing system.
  • In the General FastTab, first select the Category and Subcategory of the machine type for which you want to edit the equipment list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection.
  • The matching equipment list is displayed.
  • To hide attributes, activate the Hide checkbox for the applicable attributes.
  • To delete attributes, click on the selection field next to the number in the line of the attribute you want to delete. Then select the Delete line action.

You have successfully removed attributes from an equipment list.

Changing Order of Attributes in Equipment Lists

Note

Changed attributes can only be used when creating new machines. They cannot be added to previously created machines.

Proceed as follows to change the order of attributes in the attribute list:

  • Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
  • From the menu bar, select All Machines.
  • Select Process and then CategoryCheckPro from the menu bar to open the editing system.
  • In the General FastTab, first select the Category and Subcategory of the machine type for which you want to edit the equipment list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection.
  • The matching equipment list is displayed.
  • In the Position column, the position of the attribute is displayed. By default, the equipment lists are sorted alphabetically and the first attribute has the position number 1. All other attributes are assigned ascending position numbers.
  • To change the position of an attribute, click on the position number in the corresponding line and enter the desired position.
  • Repeat the process as required for the other attributes in the list.

You have successfully changed the attribute positions in an equipment list.

Editing Manufacturer Lists

Please proceed as follows to update manufacturer lists.

  • Click on Machines in the navigation bar.
  • From the menu bar, select All Machines.
  • Select Process and then CategoryCheckPro from the menu bar to open the editing system.
  • Click Edit Manufacturer.
  • The manufacturer list is displayed.
  • To rename a manufacturer, search for the manufacturer in the list and enter the new manufacturer name in both the No. and Name columns. The name must be entered in capital letters in the No. column.
  • To add a new manufacturer, click on New and enter the new manufacturer name in both the No. and Name columns.
  • To delete a manufacturer, click on the selection field in the line and select the Delete option.

You have successfully edited a manufacturer list.

Trade-In - App Synchronization

To synchronize the changes made in CategoryCheckPro with the Trade-In app, proceed as follows:

  • Open the Menu in the Trade-In app.
  • Select the Update data option.
  • The Update machine data action can be used to transfer the new structural data, including the modified equipment lists, to the Trade-In app.

The equipment lists customized with CategoryCheckPro are now displayed correctly in the Trade-In app.
