Telematics Data
This chapter describes the integration of telematics data. This data can be controlled via the service item card and provides information about the condition, behavior and use of a vehicle, e.g., meter readings and location data. This chapter is divided into the following sections:
- Activating Telematics Data for Service Items

Activating Telematics Data for Service Items
To view the telematics data for a service item, you must first activate the telematics data for the service item. To do so, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to activate telematics data.
- Click on Actions > Telematics > Activate Telematics Assignment in the menu bar.
You have successfully activated telematics data for a service item.
Tip
Once you have activated the telematics assignment, you can view the telematics data of the service item at any time via the service item card. To do so, click on Actions > Telematics > Telematics History in the menu bar of an open service item card.
Deactivating Telematics Data for Service Items
You can deactivate the telematics history or the use of telematics data at any time. To do so, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to deactivate telematics data.
- Click on Actions > Telematics > Deactivate Telematics Assignment in the menu bar.
You have successfully deactivated telematics data for a service item.
Updating Telematics Data for Service Items
To update the telematics data of a service item, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to update telematics data.
- Click on Actions > Telematics > Request Telematic Data in the menu bar.
You have successfully updated the telematics data. A new entry has been created in the telematics history of the service item.
Deleting Telematics Data for Service Items
Note
Before you can delete the telematics data for a specific service item, you must first enable this function in the user setup. To do so, use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the User Setup page and select the Delete Telematics History checkbox for the relevant user.
Please proceed as follows to delete the telematics data of a service item:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to delete telematics data.
- Click on Actions > Telematics > Telematics History in the menu bar.
- Navigate to the Telematics History table.
- Click on Delete Telematics History Entries in the menu bar of the table to delete all entries.
You have successfully deleted all telematics entries of a service item.
Updating Operating Hours via Telematics Data
You have the option of updating the operating hours via the telematics data. The current value is retrieved from the telematics unit and the operating hours are adjusted accordingly. To do this, please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to update the operating hours.
- Click on Actions > Telematics > Update Operating Hours in the menu bar.
- The Operating Hours field on the service item card is automatically filled with the value transmitted by the telematics unit.
You have successfully updated the operating hours using the telematics data. For better traceability, all changes to the operating hours are stored in the Service Item History, which you can access by clicking on the selection field in the Operating Hours field.
