Power BI App for Aptean Rental

The Power BI App for product.365 provides full transparency into rent processes and the utilization of rent objects. It helps users analyze utilization rates, rent revenues, contract durations and returns in order to optimize fleet usage and improve operational planning.

Shared Filters

The following page filters are displayed on multiple pages. They work the same way throughout the report and are documented here once.

Revenue Overview

The Revenue Overview page shows your rental revenue broken down by rent class type and by individual rental object. This helps you identify which types of machines and which specific machines generate the most revenue.

Page-Specific Filters:

  • Object Type – Filter by rental object type.
  • Object No. – Filter to a specific rental object.
Visual KPI / Field Description
Revenue by Rent Class Type Class Type The rental class type (grouping).
Revenue Rental revenue for each class type.
Rental Revenue by Rent Object Object No. / Object Type / Manufacturer / Model Identifying fields for each rental object (columns).
Revenue Rental revenue for each object.

Unrented Days Overview

The Unrented Days Overview page helps you identify machines that are sitting idle. It shows average unrented days per rent class and the total unrented days per individual machine, so you can prioritize action on under-utilised assets.

Page-Specific Filters:

  • Service Item No. – Filter to a specific machine.
  • Only rental movement entries (Delivery, Return, Interruption, Positive/Negative adjustments) are counted. Cancelled rental entries are excluded. Rent classes and machines with zero unrented days are hidden automatically. These are background filters.

Average Unrented Days by Rent Class Average Unrented Days The average number of days machines in each rent class were unrented (bar chart).
Rent Class Code Rental class (axis).
Current Rent Location Current rental location of the machine (colour-coded legend).
Rent Class Rent class name (shown on hover).
Total Unrented Days by Machine Service Item No. / Rent Class / Serial No. Identifying fields for each machine (columns).
Days The total number of unrented days for each machine.

Rental Map

The Rental Map page gives you a geographic overview of where your machines are currently delivered. It also shows a bar chart comparing available machines to rented machines per rent class, and a table listing all currently rented machines with their contract details.

Page-Specific Filters: Only rental contracts with machines (service items) are shown. This is a background filter.

Available & Rented Machines by Rent Class Available Machines The number of machines available per rent class as of today.
Rented Machines The number of machines currently rented per rent class.
Rent Class Code Rental class (axis).
Delivered Machines Address / Post Code / City / County / Country Region Code Ship-to location where machines have been delivered (map pins).
Class Type Rental class type (colour-coded legend).
Revenue Bubble size represents the rental revenue.
Rented Machines Document No. / Object No. / Name Identifying details of each rental contract line.
Rent Class / Manufacturer / Model Machine attributes for each rental object.
Amount The rental contract line amount.
