TRASER orderbase Time Management x Dime.Scheduler

TRASER orderbase Time Management x Dime.Scheduler is a connector app that extends the absence integration functionality of TRASER DMS 365 x Dime.Scheduler to support the orderbase Time Management system. The app automatically synchronizes employee absences from orderbase Time Management with Dime.Scheduler, enabling accurate resource planning and scheduling.

Note

This app requires TRASER DMS 365 x Dime.Scheduler and orderbase Time Management to be installed and configured. The absence integration must be activated in the Dime.Scheduler setup.

How It Works

The app monitors changes to calendar entries in orderbase Time Management and automatically synchronizes them with Dime.Scheduler through the TSRDS Absence Log table. The synchronization occurs automatically whenever calendar entries are created, modified, or deleted.

Supported Calendar Types

The app processes two types of calendar entries:

Base Calendar Changes

Base calendar changes represent general non-working days that apply to multiple employees, such as public holidays, company closures, or bridge days. These entries are linked to employees through their working schedule.

When a base calendar change is created or modified:

  • all employees using this base calendar are identified by the app
  • an absence entry is created for each employee whose resource is enabled for Dime.Scheduler
  • only future entries (from today onwards) are synchronized to optimize performance

Customized Calendar Changes

Customized calendar changes represent individual employee absences, such as vacation, sick leave, training, or personal appointments. These entries are linked directly to the employee's orderbase Time Management account.

When a customized calendar change is created or modified:

  • the app identifies the employee associated with the entry
  • an absence entry is created if the employee's resource is enabled for Dime.Scheduler

Absence Description

For customized calendar changes, the absence description is determined as follows:

  • If a description is provided in the calendar entry, it is used.
  • Otherwise, the Balance Group is used as the description.

This ensures that Dime.Scheduler always displays a meaningful designation for the absence.
