Functions
This chapter provides an overview of the telematics functions you can carry out using our interface on the Service Item Card or the Service Items page. It is divided into the following sections:
Activating Telematics Data
To use the functions of the interface, you must first activate the telematics assignment for the service item. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the service item for which you want to activate telematics assignment.
- Click Actions > Telematics > Activate Telematics Assignment in the menu bar.
- Confirm the following window with OK.
You have successfully activated the telematics assignment of a service item.
Managing Telematics Data
When telematics assignment is enabled, the following functions are available on the Service Item Card and on the Service Items page to manage telematics data. You can find these functions in the menu bar under Actions > Telematics > ....
| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| Telematics History | This function displays all previously recorded telematics data for this service item. To delete entries from the history, e.g., to free up storage space, the corresponding user permission must be set up. |
| Deactivate Telematics Assignment | This function decouples the service item from the Trackunit device. In the future, no telematics data will be recorded for this service item. |
| Request Telematics Data | This function updates the telematics data in the system for this service item. |
| Update Operating Hours | This function manually updates the operating hours based on telematics data. This is done automatically via the job queue. |

Showing Location on Map
You can show the location of a service item based on the telematics data via the service item card. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the Service Items page.
- Open the desired service item.
- Click Show on Map in the General FastTab.
- Select the Current Location option in the dialog window.
- Confirm your selection with OK to open the map vies in your browser.
You have successfully shown the location of a service item based on telematics data.
