Handling Order Baskets

Note

This documentation is WIP. The final version will be released in January 2026. Feel free to use the documentation at your own risk.

Kramp order baskets are fully supported in TRASER DMS 365 after completed order basket setup. In combination with the PRICAT import and the Product Information Integration, you are provided with all information needed to create and schedule purchase orders for KRAMP parts.

Please follow below instructions:

  • Create a purchase order as described here.
  • In the General > Vendor Name field, select your Kramp business partner.
  • Enter all other data as per your default processes.

Important!

Make sure to fill the Order Type value in the General FastTab before proceeding. Otherwise, the Reference column in the Lines FastTab is cleared when selecting the order type after adding lines.

  • In the Lines FastTab, add a reference in the Reference column for all selected Kramp items.
This value is needed for mapping purposes. You can add service item, customer, or other order information.
  • Optional If required, you can retrieve all product information via the Actions > Functions > Request all Product Information button in the menu bar.
  • You now have the following order basket options in the Actions > Order Basket menu:
Button Description

  • After selecting Create Order Basket and successful creation in the Kramp Webshop, you have the following new options in the Actions > Order Basket menu:

Tip

All order basket actions can only be performed with parts available in the Kramp Webshop. When adding items from other vendors or resources to the Lines FastTab, they are not synchronized with Kramp.

Button Description
Update Order Basket Synchronizes the order basket bidirectionally, i.e.:
• If the order basket was changed in the Kramp Webshop, the Lines FastTab in TRASER DMS 365 is updated correspondingly.
• If the order basket was changed in the Lines FastTab in TRASER DMS 365, the order basket in the Kramp Webshop is updated correspondingly.
Delete Order Basket Deletes the order basket from the Kramp Webshop. This action cannot be reverted!
Submit Order Basket Submits the order basket in the Kramp Webshop to place the order. Depending on the ReleaseOnSubmit parameter setup, the purchase order is automatically released.
View Order Basket Opens the order basket entity data. This page shows all data submitted to the Kramp Webshop.
This page should be opened in case of issues to track down errors, e.g., if an unsupported part was added to the order basket in the Kramp Webshop.
Kramp Webshop Opens the order basket in the Kramp Webshop in a new browser tab (only if the WebshopURL parameter was correctly defined in the Order Basket Setup).
  • When the purchase order information is complete, you can release and submit the purchase order:
    • either Release the purchase order via the Home > Release button, and then submit the purchase order to Kramp via the Actions > Order Basket > Submit Order Basket button in the menu bar.
    • or, if ReleaseOnSubmit = 1, click on the Actions > Order Basket > Submit Order Basket button in the menu bar.
  • The purchase order is complete and submitted to Kramp for fulfillment.
  • Post the purchase order per your default process.

Tip

When you submit the order basket in the Kramp Webshop directly, it cannot be submitted in TRASER DMS 365 anymore. The submission status is retrieved by TRASER DMS 365, so that it is still possible to post the purchase order afterwards.

Tip

If you want to see a list of all order basket associated to your Kramp business partner, open the Vendor Card page for Kramp, and click on Actions > Order Basket > View associated Order Baskets in the menu bar to see the Order Baskets table.

Tip

On the Vendor Card page for Kramp, you can also select an order basket via the Actions > Order Basket > Select Order Basket button in the menu bar to create a new purchase order based on this selected order basket.
Remember to check whether the Location Code value is filled in the Lines FastTab. To make sure that it is automatically filled, assign a responsibility center in the Responsibility Center Setup page.
