Locations
This chapter contains all important information on creating and managing locations. Locations defined in Aptean MachinePortalOnline are branches of companies. This chapter is divided into the following sections:
Creating a Location
You can store locations in Aptean MachinePortalOnline. Proceed as follows:
- Click Locations > Locations in the navigation bar.
- In the action bar of the Locations page, click the New option.
- A new Location Card is displayed.
- Complete the information using the following table:

| Code | Enter a code for the location you want to create, e.g., the abbreviation of the nearest city. |
| Name | Enter the name of the location. |
| Address | Enter the street and house number for the location. |
| Post Code | Enter the postal code for the location. |
| City | Enter the city for the location. |
| Country/Region Code | Select the applicable country for the location (e.g., 'US' for the United States) from the dropdown list. |
| First Claas Used Location No. | Enter the First Claas Used number for the location. |
| Machinefinder Pro Dealer No. | Enter the Machinefinder Pro number for the location. |
- Press the ESC key to save the changes and close the location card.
The location was created successfully.
Editing a Location
You can edit the data of an existing location. Proceed as follows:
- Click Locations > Locations in the navigation bar.
- Select the location you want to edit.
- Click the three dots in the Code column and select the Edit option.
- Edit the information for the location as required.
- Press the ESC key to save the changes and close the location card.
The location was edited successfully.
Deleting a Location
You can delete a location stored in the system. Proceed as follows:
- Click Locations > Locations in the navigation bar.
- Select the location you want to delete.
- Click the three dots in the Code column and select the Delete option.
- Confirm the dialog with Yes.
The location was deleted successfully.
