Job Queue Setup

To update service item and rent contract data, 2 job queue entries must be created as described in the following subsections:

Note

The data transmitted via these job queues are usually synchronized in real-time between Digando and TRASER Rental 365 upon any updates. The job queues do only serve as fallback options in case an error occurs during data transfer.

Product Patching Job Queue

This job queue is used to send reservation dates, changed attributes, or updated prices to Digando. This should avoid double-bookings and, at the same time, ensure that all service item data is up to date.

The job queue entry is automatically created during the Basic Interface Setup, so it is not necessary to create it manually. When activating the Digando Interface, a notification is displayed from where the job queue could be opened directly, if necessary.

In case the job queue was changed or reset, please follow below instructions to recreate the recommended settings:

  • Open the Job Queue Entries page in TRASER Rental 365 using the search (ALT+Q).

    • Optional In the Description field, enter a unique job queue description, if needed, e.g., Digando Product Patching.
    • Optional In the Earliest Start Date/Time field, enter the date and time the job queue should run the next time. If no value is selected, the job queue will run as soon as Status = Ready.
  • In the Recurrence FastTab of the Job Queue Entry Card, do the following:
    • Activate the toggle switches for all weekdays.
    • Leave the Starting Time field empty as the job queue should run all day long.
    • Leave the Ending Time field empty as the job queue should run all day long.
    • In the No. of Minutes between Runs field, enter a value which suits your processes best. We recommend a value between 30 and 60.

The job queue entry is finished and has Status = On Hold.

Booking Update Job Queue

This job queue is used to send rent booking information and updates from Digando to TRASER Rental 365 and the other way round as well as delivery and return notifications. This should ensure that any status update is available in both systems.
