Definition
A standard chart of accounts is used to present the accounting system of a company as clearly and uniformly as possible for accounting purposes. Chart of accounts includes all accounts relevant for accounting and structures them according to account classes.
The German chart of accounts SKR 03 is structured according to the business processes of retail, banks and insurance companies.
