Inventoriable

Current Asset
Definition
In the context of financial accounting, inventoriables refer to all assets that remain in the company only for a short period and are not used continuously in business operations. As such, they are the counterpart to fixed assets and serve primarily to secure liquidity in order to ensure the company’s short-term ability to pay. Inventoriables include, for example:
- inventories for production or sale (raw materials, supplies, or goods)
- prepaid expenses
- accounts receivable
- securities (stocks or bonds)
- cash and cash equivalents (cash balance or bank deposits)
In our ERP solution, the value of inventoriables for purchase and sales is displayed in the calculation review. A wizard facilitates the rebooking of inventoriables to fixed assets. It is also possible to calculate calculatory depreciation for service items to reflect the loss in value during the useful life of a machine.
