Order Tracking Policy
Definition
In the context of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, order tracking policies refer to events that trigger a demand in inventory, e.g. sales orders or services for which items must be available at a specific time. An order tracking policy determines whether and how order tracking entries are created and a purchase order is triggered. In addition, an action message can be set up. The use of order tracking policies facilitates demand planning by enabling dynamic management of item demand and inventory.
