Additional Configuration

Definition

In the context of our ERP solution, additional configurations describe all attachments and components that have not been produced by the manufacturer of a service item. Examples include an excavator bucket (structural engineering) or front hydraulics (agricultural engineering) of a third-party manufacturer.

By default, additional configurations are not part of a service item configuration, but can be added to it. Specifying additional configurations is also relevant for CPQs and calculation worksheets. Furthermore, configurations of other vendors require separate purchase orders.
