Standard Service Code
Definition
In the context of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, standard service codes can be used to perform standardized processes, e.g. the inspection of a specific machine, more efficiently. To do this, predefined service lines can be added to a standard service code, e.g. with information on service-relevant items, resources or (labor) costs. Templates for standard texts and can also be stored in standard service codes.
When creating service quotes or service orders, standard service codes can be added to the corresponding documents. This saves time searching for individual components and streamlines recurring service processes.
