Reman Parts

Definition

Reman parts are remanufactured, i.e. refurbished machine parts and components. The abbreviation REMAN stands for Remanufacturing, which is an important part of a sustainable recycling economy.

Reman parts must be clearly labelled as such. However, they provide similar functionality as a new part, including warranty claims, and have the same quality requirements.

In the context of TRASER DMS 365, reman parts can be included as a deposit when an item is sold. This so-called reman value can be added to an item and can be displayed in sales documents. When a machine is returned, the reman value will be credited back to the customer.
