OCR
Definition
OCR is an acronym for Optical Character Recognition. With the help of OCR, it is possible to convert text on scanned files or digital images into machine-readable text in order to be further processed.
OCR saves time as it comes to working environments that rely on both printed and digital data capture, because there is no need to type in all hand-written or printed information into a computer manually. Analog documents can be scanned and rendered machine-readable by means of OCR and then automatically registered in digital assets.
