External Equipment
Definition
In the context of TRASER DMS 365, external equipment describes all attachments and components that have not been produced by the manufacturer of a service item. Examples include an excavator bucket (structural engineering) or front hydraulics (agricultural engineering) of a third-party manufacturer.
By default, external equipment is not part of a service item configuration, but can be added to it. Specifying external equipment is also relevant for sales calculations and forecasts. Furthermore, external equipment requires separate purchase orders.
