Technical Information

This chapter describes how you can add technical information for your service articles and how you can benefit from this in practice.

Add Technical Information

This section describes how you can add technical information to a service item.
You can add or display the following technical information for a service item:

  • APR
  • Date of General Inspection
  • Date of General Inspection 2
  • Year of Construction
  • Registration Date
  • Last Service Date
  • Warranty Starting Date
  • Warranty Ending Date

To add information to a service item do the following:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Service Items.
  • The page with the already created service items is displayed.
  • Select the service item for which you want to add/display one or more of the above mentioned information.
  • On the Service Item Card scroll down to the Technical Information tab.

Technical Information

  • Enter the information and close the service item card.

Note

The field Last Service Date is filled in by the system as soon as a service order with this service item is available.

The following section gives you a practical example of what technical information can be used for.

Sort by Technical Information

You can sort your service item list by any technical information. Sorting is especially advantageous when you got a large machine or vehicle fleet and if you want to get an overview of due general inspections.

In the following description you will learn how you can use the sorting option to sort for due general inspections. We assume that the layout option List is used.

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Service Items.
  • The page Service Items is displayed.
  • Right click in the header of the column General Inspection.

Filter for Technical Information

  • Select the option Ascending to display the service items for which the general inspection is due or already overdue.

The following section describes how you can filter the service item list.

Filter for Technical Information

You can use the technical information mentioned above to filter your service items in the service item list.
We assume that the layout option List is used.

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Service Items.
  • The page Service Items is displayed.
  • Click on the technical information which should be used to filter the list.

Filter for Technical Information

Example:
For example, if you want to filter according to service items whose general inspection is due in March 2020 (03/01/2020-03/31/2020), proceed as follows:

  • Click on the column header General Inspection in the service item list.
  • From the displayed menu select the option Filter…
  • Enter 03/01/2020..03/31/2020 in the filter field on the left side of the screen.
  • All service items with a general inspection in march are displayed in the list.
