Setting Up Base Calendar and Bank Holidays

You can assign a base calendar to customers, vendors and locations. The working days specified in the base calendar will be used for the calculation of delivery and shipping dates. This chapter covers all important information regarding base calendars and is divided into the following sections:

Setting up Base Calendar

To set up a base calendar, please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Base Calendar.
  • The page Base Calendar is displayed.
  • To set up a new base calendar, click on New in the menu bar.
  • A new Base Calendar Card is displayed.
  • Navigate to the General tab.
  • Fill in the fields according to the table below.
Field Description
Code Enter a code for the base calendar, e. g. 5-Days for a 5-day calendar.
Name Enter a name for the calendar.
Rental Calendar Activate this toggle if the calendar should be used for rental invoices.
Number of Days in Month Enter the default number of days in a month that should be used for the invoicing of orders.
Printout Description Enter a description that will be printed on documents.
Customized Changes Exist This field specifies whether the base calendar has been used to create customized calendars. The field will be filled automatically.
  • Following this, click on Actions > Functions > Maintain Base Calendar Changes.
  • The page Base Calendar Changes is displayed.
  • Via the Recurring System column you can specify what days should be considered as holidays/non-working days. You can define weekly or annual non-working days.
  • If you return to the base calendar card, the Lines tab will show what days have been marked as non-working days.
  • The base calendar setup has been completed.

Importing holidays

You can import holidays which will then be used by the system to calculate delivery and shipping dates. To import holidays, please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search (ALT+Q) in TRASER DMS 365 to find the page Base Calendar.
  • The page Base Calendar is displayed.
  • Open a base calendar or create a new one via the New action in the menu bar.
  • The base calendar card is displayed.
  • Select Importing holidays from the menu bar.
  • A new window is displayed.
  • Select a country via the Country Code field. If you select Germany, you will also have to enter a County Code.
  • Select a Starting Date for the holiday import.
  • Select an End Date for the holiday import.
  • Click on OK to import the holidays.
  • You have successfully imported the holidays for a specific country. You can also add holidays from different regions.
