Checklists
With TRASER DMS you can create checklists to structure and standardize work processes.
In addition, checklists allow you to enter information without having to open the service item card.
The checklists that have been created with TRASER DMS can also be used in mobile applications like {Mobile Rent} so that your employees can add data while on the go.

The following section describes how you set up the number series for checklist templates.
Setting up number series for checklist templates
This section describes how you set up the number series for checklist templates. This is necessary as it ensures that the checklist templates will have sequential and clear numbers.
Proceed as follows to set up the number series for checklist templates.
- Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (ALT+Q) to find the page TRASER Checklists Setup.
- The page TRASER Checklists Setup is displayed.
- Open the drop-down list of the Template Number Series field.
- To create a new number series for checklist templates, please open the drop-down list and click New at the bottom of the window.
- The window Select – Number Series is displayed.
- Use the Code column to enter a code for the number series.
Tip
We would recommend to start the checklist template number series with the code CHK-VOR.
- Use the Description column to enter a description for the code (e.g. Checklist Template).
- Use the Starting No. field to enter a starting number for the checklist templates (e.g. CV000001).
- Do not fill out the Ending No. field.
- Activate the check boxes in the Standard No. and Manual No. columns.
- Click OK to close the list.
You have successfully set up the number series for checklist templates. Proceed as follows to set up the number series for checklists.

This section describes how you set up the number series for checklists.
Please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (ALT+Q) to find the page TRASER Checklists Setup.
- The page TRASER Checklists Setup is displayed.
- Open the drop-down list of the Checklist Number Series field.
- To create a new number series for checklists, please open the drop-down list and click New at the bottom of the window.
- The window Select – Number Series is displayed.
- Use the Code column to enter a code for the number series.
Tip
We would recommend to start the number series with the code CHK.
- Use the Description column to enter a description for the code (e.g. Checklist).
- Use the Starting No. field to enter a starting number for the checklist (e.g. CH000001).
- Do not fill out the Ending No. field.
- Activate the check boxes in the Standard No. and Manual No. columns.
- Click OK to close the list.

Creating a Checklist Template
This section describes how to create a new checklist template.
Checklist templates allow you to create a checklist that you can use for a wide range of machines or items.
Proceed as follows to set up a checklist template:
- Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (Alt+Q) to find the page Checklists Template List.
- The page Checklists Template List is displayed. The table contains all checklist templates that have already been set up.
- To set up a new checklist template, click New in the menu bar.
Tip
Alternatively, you can copy a checklist that has already been set up and customize it to your needs. Proceed as described in the Copy Checklist Template section.
- The page Checklist Template is displayed. The page contains the following fields:

No. | If you have set up a number series, this number will be filled out automatically. You will find instructions in the Setting up number series for checklist templates section. |
Description | Enter an accurate description for the checklist template. |
Group Code | Please set up a new group code or select an existing group code for the checklist template. Group codes allow you to assign checklist templates to certain groups. |
Group Description | The group description will be filled out automatically based on the chosen group code. |

- Please fill out the fields.
- You have successfully filled out the header for the checklist template.
- Scroll to the Lines tab and enter the fields for the checklists.

Group | Use this field to add a sub-headline to the checklist. The following fields will be put below this headline and can be shown or hidden by clicking on the headline. |
Information | Use this field to add information to the checklists that will be displayed in a box. |
One-Line Textbox | Use this field to create a text field. You can only use one line. |
Multi-Line Textbox | Use this field to create a text field. You can use various lines. |
Checkbox | Use this field to create a check box. |
Number Field | Use this field to create a number field. |
Date Field | Use this field to create a selection field. |
Radio Button | Use this field to create an radio button. |
Selection Field | Use this field to create a selection field. |
Image | Use this field to create a image field. |
