Item and Document Search via Role Center
If you want to find a specific item or document, you can use the two search boxes Item Search and Document Search at the bottom of the role center page.
The contents of this chapter are divided into the following sections:
Item Search
This section describes how you search for an item.
Please proceed as follows:
- On the TRASER DMS 365 start screen (role center) , scroll to the bottom of the page.
- In the Item Search field, enter a part of an item number or a description of the item you want to search for. You can either enter full item numbers or only a part of an item number (e. g. “16”). If you want to search for an item by its description, you have to add a # at the start (e. g. “#Paris”).
- To start the search, confirm your search by clicking Enter
- The search results will be displayed in a new window.
Note
The search result view can be changed. By default, the search results will be displayed in Basic View. In the Page View field, select the value Expanded View to see detailed information on the search results. You can specify the page view for all users. For more information go to Set up Basic View for Item Search.
- In the Type column, click on Item to access the item card of the selected item.
Set up Basic View for Item Search
This section describes how to set up the default view for item search results for specific users.
Please proceed as follows:
- Use the quick search (ALT+Q) to find the page User Setup.
- The page User Setup is displayed.
- Select a user from the list.
- Open the user card.
- In the Item Search Page Default under TRASER, you can choose between the following values:
Value | Description |

Basic View | Choose this value for the selected user if the search results should be displayed using the Basic View. If you use the Basic View setting, the search results will only contain basic information. Go to Item Search to see what the basic view setting looks like. |
Expanded View | Choose this value for the selected user if the search results should be displayed using the Expanded View. If you use the Expanded View setting, the search results will contain additional information. In addition to the information from Basic View, the search results will also contain information on unit, price list and an additional field (Order Date) to narrow down the search. |
Document Search
This section describes how you search for a document.
Please proceed as follows:
- On the TRASER DMS 365 start screen (role center) , scroll to the bottom of the page.
- In the Item Search field, enter a part of a document number or a description of the document you want to search for. You can either enter full document numbers or only a part of a document number (e. g. “16”).
- To start the search, confirm your search by clicking Enter
- The search results will be displayed in a new window.
- In the No. of Entries column, click on the displayed number to open the applicable document card.
Delete Search History
You can delete your search history by clicking on Delete History. Both search boxes have their separate search history thus you have to delete them individually.
