Add Texts to Items

This chapter describes how to add different text types to items, catalog items and service items.

Add Marketing Texts to Items

This section describes how to add a marketing text to a service item.
Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (Alt+Q) to find the page Items.
  • The Items page is displayed.
  • On the Items page, select the item that you would like to add a marketing text to.
  • The Item Card is displayed.
  • Open the notification area. To do so, press Alt+F2 or click on the notification area icon Infobereich-Symbol on the right-hand side.
  • The notification area opens.
  • In the notification area, scroll down to the Marketing Text tab.

Add Marketing Texts to Items

  • Click on the drop-down menu next to the Marketing Text tab.
  • The drop-down menu is displayed.
  • Select Edit from the drop-down list.
  • TheEdit - Notepad window opens.
  • Enter a text.
  • To save the text, click Close.
  • The text that you entered is saved as a comment below the Marketing Text tab.

You have successfully added a marketing text to an item.

Add Marketing Texts to Catalog Items

This section describes how to add a marketing text to a catalog item.
Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (Alt+Q) to find the page Catalog Item.
  • The Catalog Items page is displayed.
  • On the Catalog Items page, select the catalog item that you would like to add a marketing text to.
  • The catalog item card is displayed.
  • Open the notification area. To do so, press Alt+F2 or click on the notification area icon Infobereich-Symbol on the right-hand side.
  • The notification area opens.
  • In the notification area, scroll down to the Marketing Text tab.

Add Marketing Texts to Catalog Items

  • Click on the drop-down menu next to the Marketing Text tab.
  • The drop-down menu is displayed.
  • Select Edit from the drop-down list.
  • TheEdit - Notepad window opens.
  • Enter a text.
  • To save the text, click Close.
  • The text that you entered is saved as a comment below the Marketing Text tab.

You have successfully added a marketing text to a catalog item.

Add a service text to a service item

Add Standard Equipment Texts to Service Items

This section describes how to add a a standard equipment text to a service item.
Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (ALT+Q) to find the page Service Items.
  • The page Service Items is displayed.
  • On the Service Items page, select the service item that you would like to add a standard equipment text to.
  • The service item card is displayed.
  • Open the notification area. To do so, press Alt+F2 or click on the notification area icon Infobereich-Symbol on the right-hand side.
  • The notification area opens.
  • In the notification area, scroll down to the Standard Equipment Text tab.

Add a standard equipment text to a service item

  • Click on the drop-down menu next to the Standard Equipment Text tab.
  • The drop-down menu is displayed.
  • Select Edit from the drop-down list.
  • TheEdit - Notepad window opens.
  • Enter a text.
  • To save the text, click Close.
  • The text that you entered is saved as a comment in the Standard Equipment Text tab.

You have successfully added a standard equipment text to a service item.

The following section describes how to add notes to a service item.

Add Notes to Service Items

This section describes how to add a a note to a service item.
Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (ALT+Q) to find the page Service Items.
  • The page Service Items is displayed.
  • On the Service Items page, select the service item that you would like to add a note to.
  • The service item card is displayed.
  • Open the notification area. To do so, press Alt+F2 or click on the notification area icon Infobereich-Symbol on the right-hand side.
  • The notification area opens.
  • In the notification area, click on Attachments.
  • Click on the plus icon Plus-Symbol next to the Notes tab.
  • The Add a note window opens.

Add a note

Note

The maximum length for notes is 1024 characters.

For marketing, service and standard equipment texts there is no character limit.

  • Enter the text.
  • Click OK to add the note to the service item.

You have successfully added a note to a service item. The following section describes how to edit service item notes.

Edit Service Item Notes

This section describes how to edit service item notes.
Please proceed as follows:

  • Use the quick search in TRASER DMS 365 (ALT+Q) to find the page Service Items.
  • The page Service Items is displayed.
  • On the Service Items page, select the service item that you would like to add a note to.
  • The service item card is displayed.
  • Open the notification area. To do so, press Alt+F2 or click on the notification area icon Infobereich-Symbol on the right-hand side.
  • The notification area opens.
  • In the notification area, click on Attachments.
  • Open the menu for the note that you would like to edit.

Edit note

  • Click Edit.
  • The Notes window opens.
  • Enter your changes.

Note

The maximum length for notes is 1024 characters. The maximum length also depends on the number of paragraphs.

  • To save your changes and exit the window, click OK.

Note

Only the changes made to the text will be saved. Information such as the user ID that created the note or the time stamp will not be updated.
